Reports to: Solution Lead / Senior Solution Lead
This role is part of the Solution Centre in our Information Technology (IMT) department who strive for continuous improvements so that we can provide you with a seamless experience with Cathay.
As the Solution Analyst, you will play a crucial role in translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to drive the end-to-end solution development of software applications, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, user-friendly applications which reflect Cathay’s vision to becoming one of the world’s greatest service brands.
With your expertise, skills and knowledge in solution delivery, you will be assigned to be part of our Loyalty solution team to work on the eCommerce platform. Enabling you to gain exposure in loyalty program systems that only a world-renowned airline can give.
Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyse requirements and assess detailed solutions options from a system perspectiveSupport solution design and contribute expertise and detailed knowledge to ensure high level design decisions are able to be deliveredTo ensure requirements are mapped and documented to functional and technical specifications for software development projectsContribute expertise in supporting the development of technical specificationHands on technical development and implementation is requiredCarry out level 2 and level 3 incident supports for in-production systems and manage end user expectationsReview the Application Development vendors on development and implementation work as requiredOversee and QA the development of all solution components ensuring this meets requirements and complies with all relevant Cathay Pacific standardsContribute and follow standards and frameworks for developmentKeep abreast of the business strategy, business plan and latest industrial trendsRequirements
A minimum of 5 years of IT with at least 3 years in application development and support Tertiary qualifications are essentialStrong interpersonal skills; promoting healthy relationships and team dynamics with internal and external stakeholdersWell-developed analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, leveraging both logic and creativity; strong troubleshooting skills; ability to identify patterns and generate ideasWith technical skill in Java, JavaScript, CSS and Vue.jsExperience in mobile application development is preferredExperience in CI/CD and Agile delivery model is an added advantageGood understanding of technology concepts, trends and capabilitiesEffective verbal and written communication skillPersonal & Application Information
