Solution Architect

As an Oracle ERP Technology Solution Architect you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading pre-sales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Solution Architects. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Solution Architects. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall solution.

Key Responsibilities
1.    Sales Discovery & Scoping Support

Lead or support client discovery sessions to capture pain points and strategic goals across both operational and financial planning domains Collaborate with Sales and Practice teams to develop high-level roadmaps and solution architecture aligned to budget and transformation objectives Conduct Sales enablement sessions on ERP products and services

2.     Solution Engineering

 Architect comprehensive solutions around services related to Oracle ERP products including cloud hyperscale technologies ((OCI/Azure/AWS/GCP) Guide architectural decisions that enable technical efficiencies, cost optimized and quick win solutions Ensure all designs are aligned with Oracle reference architectures and performance/security standards Help customers achieve efficiencies/target success with their technical upgrades, database modernization, cloud infrastructure transformation 

3.     Proposal & RFP Ownership

Lead development of proposals and RFP responses, including solution blueprints, resource estimates, and delivery methodologies for Oracle Technologies ERP Stack, fusion middleware, WebLogic, Golden Gate technologies Craft value-driven narratives that demonstrate alignment to financial strategy, planning optimization, and integrated performance management Collaborate with Sales, Legal, Pricing, and Delivery on response compliance and accuracy

4.     Solution Presentation & Demo Leadership

Develop and deliver tailored demonstrations highlighting the value of Oracle ERP’s running on various cloud Infrastructures (OCI, AWS, Azure and GCP)   Support oral presentations and Q&A as the technical lead in key pursuits. Ability to develop technical solution presentation for C-Suite to Technical Sponsors

5.     Sales-to-Delivery Handoff

Own the transition of scoped solutions from Sales to Delivery, ensuring alignment of SOW scope, resources and level of effort is clearly understood Support kickoff with architecture handoffs, solution overviews, and continuity planning to delivery teams Provide solution continuity through initial project stages to reinforce strategic alignment and mitigate risk

6.     Solution Delivery Oversight

Serve as architectural governance lead throughout the project lifecycle Partner with PMs and Practice Delivery to address gaps, escalate issues, and maintain design integrity Ensure delivered solutions align with proposed architecture, timeline, and quality expectations

Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field 15+ years of experience as a Oracle Database technologies, Cloud Solutions Architect demonstrating a track record of successful implementations 5+ years of experience as a pre-sales consultant or solution architect Deep expertise in cloud platforms, with a specialization in Oracle Cloud and Amazon Web Services, Azure, GCP Extensive experience working in an IT services organization with good knowledge of ITIL processes Should be willing to travel within USA Candidate should have strong client facing experience. Good understanding of operational and compliance processes within Oracle ERP applications Expert in designing/solutioning cloud migrations and transformations for Oracle ERP Platforms Proficiency in infrastructure as code and automation, showcasing a commitment to excellence Strong communication and presentation skills Proven ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Azure, AWS) are highly desirable
 

Skills Requirements:

Candidate should have extensive experience working with sales teams for scoping
or as a pre-sales consultant or a solution architect within an IT Services company Should have in-depth knowledge of Oracle Technologies (Oracle EBS, Peoplesoft, Database, WebLogic, Golden Gate, Oracle Identity Management, Exadata) and cloud platforms (OCI, Azure, Aws). Experience with Open-Source technologies is an added advantage Experience working on complex solutions related to ERP managed services and good knowledge of ITIL processes Should be able to showcase and discuss a range of Customer solution designs internally within Datavail and externally to customers Experience gathering customer requirements, solution building and the ability to replicate solutions across customers Should be able understand functional and business process issues within Oracle SaaS and/or on-premises applications and communicate with business users Should possess strong relationship building skills Ability to write detailed services scope statement, perform effort estimation and create customer proposals Should be able to present and articulate value proposition of solutions to customer’s IT and Business teams Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work accordingly Project Management experience will be an added advantage
