We are looking for a Solution Architect, with experience in large scale ERP implementations to work within our Screwfix brand. Screwfix operate across UK, Republic or Ireland and France, focusing on trade customers to help them get the job done quickly, affordably, and right first time. From power tools and work wear to cables and pipe fittings, Screwfix offers over 10,000 products available for pick up from our stores and over 50,000 products available direct to home. The role will define and lead the solution architecture activity for a new Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP implementation.

Managing end to end design activity across internal teams and 3 rd parties to ensure solutions and deliverables are high-quality, functional, and efficient to deliver the needs of our business. The ERP is the foundation of an exciting multi-year back-office transformation programme that will provide our colleges with modern technologies and efficient processes to support our continued growth ambition within existing and new markets. What's the job? Architectural Decisions: Own and provide guidance on architectural decisions, ensuring they are robust, well-documented, align with both business objectives and technical requirements, and supported through the right level of governance.Leadership in Design: Lead the creation of detailed high-level designs for complex programmes, with a focus on ERP, that integrate well with existing systems, meet business goals, and align to architecture standards and principles.Solution Analysis and Evaluation: Conduct thorough analysis of existing systems and technology, recommending improvements and exploring innovative solutions.Product Selections: Lead and manage the product selection process, ensuring that the most suitable products and technologies are chosen to meet business capability requirements, align with architecture principles and technology strategy.Technical Leadership and Guidance: Lead Solution Architects aligned to the programme, providing architectural and technical leadership, and guiding the implementation of solutions that leverage ERP capabilities. Using recognised architecture patterns to solve problems.Stakeholder Management: Serve as the main point of contact between technical and business stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and understanding of project requirements and outcomes.Collaborative Working: Drive collaboration for complex programmes, ensuring a shared alignment of objectives and delivery of high-quality solutions.Enhancing Architectural Practice: Contribute actively to the development and improvement of the Architecture chapter by refining architectural practices and methods.Upgrades and Migrations: Lead analysis in upgrading and migrating Dynamics solutions to newer versions, staying abreast of the latest Microsoft Dynamics technologies and best practices. What you'll bring Demonstrated experience as a Solutions Architect, with deep understanding of ERP capabilities and implementations. Microsoft Dynamics 365, the Power Platform, and related technologies including the Azure cloud platform and its services preferable.Familiarity with Finance in the context of ERP systems.Proficiency in integrating ERP within diverse digital ecosystems using cloud-native integration patterns and standard APIs.Proven track record of customizing and configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications to align with business requirements, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels and across IT and the retail businesses.Is imaginative and creative in solving problems.Experience of architecting across business, data, applications, and technology domains in both agile & waterfall delivery environments.Experience of working with multiple 3rd party solution providers.Demonstrable knowledge of technical aspects of IT and the ability to interpret for consumption by non-IT specialists.Possession of Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications is considered advantageous.Be Customer Focused – constantly improving our customers’ experienceI listen to my customersI use available data to help make decisionsBe Human – acting with humanity and careI do the right thingI am respectful
