Solution Architect II - Enterprise Solutions

Role Proficiency:

Provide technical and/or business consultative leadership during the pre-sales and/or post-sales cycle for large CRM/ERP implementations. This will include review design optimization scalability and architectural application audits of the enterprise-systems

Outcomes:

     Senior Solutions Architect leads technical strategies and architectures as well as technical development for enterprise-wide large projects or systems using industry-standard integrated architecture models.      Independently design analyse document and develop technical architecture and solutions for large enterprise level applications and systems      Implement solution architecture by building components and custom designs and maintaining technical integrity      Identify analyse recommend and implement improvements in system architectures      Design and implement proof of concepts solution/architecture planning and custom demos      Perform technical feasibility and impact analysis and select software architecture or solution      Lead direct and participate in new technology adoption in ERP/CRM.      Build strong internal or external customer relationships managing expectations at all levels      Understanding of current operational frameworks and how their solutions will be managed through and after the implementation   Accountable with deal pursuit to ensure that proposed solutions offer a winning value proposition playing a key role in the preparation of proposals   Lead the due diligence phase of a pursuit and validate and revise the solution as necessary   Supervise software architects to develop system recommendation documents by researching evaluating analyzing and selecting technology and infrastructure products functionality and features.   Advise customer senior leaders on various software and technology solutions and business problems   Analyse customer objectives and present a compelling solution   Lead customer discovery and assessment meetings to identify business value and ROI for complex business problems   Recommend best practices to customers and help with IT Strategy and implementation planning – capacity servers deployment etc.   Define architecture for large engagements involving cluster of technologies and act as design authority for the engagement.   Ensure technical quality of deliverables under his/her portfolio of projects with strict adherence to architecture principles and design standards.   Conceptualize technical platform which address similar patterns of need for a domain or a horizontal segment.   Provide conceptual solution model as part of pre-sales activities.   Work on estimates vendor management partnership/license management.   Pursuit of industry better practices across multiple accounts   Mentor group of architects and support them in getting the right kind of exposure   Set goals in NorthStar; timely measure the progress and update accordingly.

Solution Definition & Design:

Define solution architecture models by leveraging latest architectural paradigms better suited to customer needs Define Architecture Principle & Patterns for engagement. Adopt appropriate technical stack. Ensure complete adherence to Adopted Architecture Principles & Design Standards and applicable regulatory mandates. Guide technical team in adoption of principle and pattern and also technical stack. Perform architecture and design review using industry standard methodologies. Partner with appropriate stakeholders in multi-vendor environment to ensure successful delivery of overall solution. Define non-functional requirements to ensure solution’s ability to meet the same at various stages of development. Resolve any issues based on industry expertise / partners leverage

Provide thought leadership in conceptualizing the need and design of assets. Track implementation of assets. Improve asset effectiveness. Improve deployment effectiveness.

Identify training needs of associates within his/her vertical/horizontal. Gain and cultivate domain expertise to provide best and optimized solution to customer Mentor group of Architects.

Incubate new concepts in partnership with customer or third party like Product Partners

Requirement gathering and Analysis:

Understand and conceptualize architecturally significant requirements. Validate the cross application / cross technology requirements to ensure integration ability and reconciliation of conflicting requirements; working with customers and other stakeholders


New Service Design:

Identify potential opportunities for new service offerings based on industry trends/similar kind of demand from customer/emerging technology paradigm. Create business case for investments for approval from senior management Identify product/service partner if any required to execute New Service Line Operating Model. Create differentiated offering in terms of framework/product/platform to position UST in new space. Build reference applications and customer specific proof of concepts to demonstrate our offering. Partner with Marketing Team to develop collaterals as part of GTM


Architecture Governance & Review:

Perform architecture review of all projects under his/her portfolio. Conduct design review of all framework elements and architecturally significant components. Identify the common themes across projects within account/vertical and identify opportunity for optimization by creating reusable assets
saving time and money Guide Technical Architects & Sr. Technical Leaders when they are having difficulties with any design challenges during project delivery. Define and measure project /program specific architectural and technology quality metrics. Review outputs to ensure NFRs are met


Talent Management:

Provide support to delivery management team in identification of training needs for the team. Support technical evaluation of external and internal candidates to meet project requirements. Perform career guidance and performance management for team members


Alliance Management:

Identify product/service partners in alignment with overall approach taken at vertical/horizontal level. Work with UST partnership team and third-party product/service partners in creating GTM strategy. Develop internal capabilities/complementary toolsets to support the GTM strategy. Maintain the relationship with partners. Act as the UST technical POC for specific horizontal space.


Technology Consulting:

Define problem statement for the customer
in alignment with primary business objectives of the client. Assess existing landscape across relevant dimensions like Business Architecture/Application Architecture/Data Architecture/Technology Architecture and identify gaps between current state and potential target state. Define solution roadmap which enables organization to transition to new state in an agile manner. Analyze solution fitment across various dimensions like technical feasibility

Sales Support:

Provide Solution Support for pre-sales support activities for example

Conduct workshop at client location to demonstrate our ability to address customer needs using our unique offerings. Provide recommendations on execution sand pricing modes to delivery owner of the sales pursuit. Support Sales Owner/Delivery Owner in qualifying the opportunity. Highlight risk and recommend mitigation approach to Sales Owner/Delivery Owner of the sales pursuit. Present UST’s Capability as part of client visits with clear articulation of our offerings

Build credibility with the client as a technical go-to person and be their trusted partner. Work to expand professional network in the client organization. Manage the expectations of key stakeholders effectively to ensure success of the engagement.

Salesforce Technical Solutions Architect Job Description OVERALL EXPERIENCE • SFDC Technical Solution Architect: 12-18 years IT industry total experience, with Minimum 9 years specifically in hands-on Salesforce.com architecting/solutioning, and development (coding) in Apex and Visualforce and Lightning, and Experience in Data Modeling specific to Salesforce • Any prior experience with other technologies like Java/.Net is highly preferred • Experience in working with client in USA/UK is a Must, and in coordinating between Onsite-Offshore daily • Candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Apex/Visualforce and Lightning coding, and in Salesforce administration, configuration and customization, including reports and dashboards • This Role will have substantial Architecting/Solutioning responsibility, as well as lot of hands-on Coding to be done SALESFORCE.COM CERTIFICATIONS • Must Have: Developer Certification (Platform Dev 2), and atleast 2 of the Architect-stream Certifications • Nice to Have: Advanced Admin (ADM301) or Consultant (Sales Cloud/Service Cloud) Certifications FORCE.COM DEVELOPMENT KNOWLEDGE • Very good experience in having architected and implemented Salesforce solutions, from a Development perspective.
