Solution Architect - Support

Equifax is seeking a Solution Architect to significantly contribute to identifying best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects. As an Architect at Equifax, you will design and plan technology solutions, alongside providing leadership and support to development teams. You excel at driving business value through technology and addressing technical issues and concerns.

What you’ll Do:

Contribute and support architecting, designing and implementing solutions in GCP/AWS leveraging Cloud Native capabilities.

Contribute and support a high-level Solution Intent for given project or problem statement in form of architecture diagrams, models, constraints and principles

Maintain architecture deliverables necessary to illustrate system behavior, including usage models, and cost of ownership models and failure analysis model

Ensure that the solution is aligned with the technology strategy, uses standard solution building blocks and can be built and operated in an efficient manner aligned with economic value of the project

Develop, analyze, split, and prioritize work required to implement the system’s non-functional requirements

Provide technical oversight of implementation and keep it aligned with the solution intent

What experience you'll need:

BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent job experience required

1+ years of experience developing software in the public cloud, including 5+ years overall relevant experience.

Experience in monitoring infrastructure and application uptime and availability to ensure functional and performance objectives.

Experience in one or more languages such as Python, Bash, Java, Go, JavaScript and/or node.js

Demonstrable cross-functional knowledge with systems, storage, networking, security and databases

Partner with Engineering, and SREs to analyze any outages or resiliency issues and provide remediation steps

Familiarity with microservice best practices and design patterns

Familiarity with event driven architecture and immutable data management patterns (CQRS)

Proficiency with continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling and practices

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Cloud Certification Strongly Preferred

What could set you apart:

You have a full working knowledge of technologies such as UNIX, Oracle, SQL Server and TCP/IP for example, as well as knowledge of one or more programming languages

Strong working knowledge in Cloud technologies, preferably GCP/AWS

Proficient with Building and managing Custom Applications with a strong expertise in Java/Springboot.

You have the ability to build good relationships with customers and coworkers

You can gather and assimilate information

You have good knowledge of quality standards, legislation and best practice

You can adapt and prioritize

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues and solutions
