The Solution Consultant provides pre-sales support in the development and presentation of our financial reporting solutions for prospective clients and current customers to address the complex problems that Workiva's platform and solutions solve. The solutions relevant to this role are bespoke to the Financial Services sector, specifically Investments and Banking industries. The qualified candidate will be able to offer specific technical subject matter expertise to the sales function, supporting the business and functional aspects of Workiva's platform and solutions via technical and architecture presentations, product demonstrations, and communication of value-based messaging about the Workiva platform. Additionally, the job requires development of example solutions, prototypes, and proofs of concept to demonstrate viability and value of Workiva solutions.
What You’ll Do
Execute pre-sales framework to engage customers, prospects, and partners via phone, web, or onsite meetings, drive the discovery process, and identify areas where Workiva solutions align to address customer/prospect needs
Ensure customer success by working with Workiva Client Services team for smooth on-boarding and long term success
Demonstrate knowledge across multiple domain areas developing working knowledge of industries, departments, and use cases where Workiva can have an impact
Assist in developing new use-cases or by using existing templates providing proof of our solution's impact and value proposition
Conduct process assessments with customers, builds Proof of Concepts to validate requirements, builds and presents customer specific business cases
May begin to deliver cross-domain coaching, training, or mentoring peers
Work with Product Marketing, Client Services, Scoping, and Customer Success to achieve team and company goals
Assist sales in developing account plans in support of Workiva strategies and objectives
What You’ll Need
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 2 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience
Experience selling to or working in Investments/Asset Management or Banking industries
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience engaging with and presenting to business or IT managers and executives
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results and continuous improvement
Ability to solve problems and articulate solutions to business problems with strong communication and presentation skills
Hands on technical experience with SaaS solutions, cloud technologies, and architectures preferred
Prior experience working with Private/Mutual Fund Reporting, Investor Relations, Capital Planning, Treasury, Regulatory Reporting, Insurance Statutory Reporting
Experience with financial reporting technology, such as the Workiva platform
Capability to gather business needs and present a value based, compelling software demonstration
Travel Requirement & Working Conditions
Up to 25% Travel
Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office
How You’ll Be Rewarded
✅ Salary range in the US: $86,000.00 - $138,000.00✅ Eligible for commission based on sales performance
✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
