We are looking for a Solution Development (SD) Software Consultant to join our team! *Solution Development AGV/AMR Software Engineer

This role will support a Solution Development team focused on “Flexible Automation” solutions (Automated Guided Vehicles or other technologies) with all elements of software; equipment-level software, fleet management, and WCS/WMS offerings by Dematic. The Solution Development team is responsible for system concepting, preliminary system design, costing / quotation, and proposals, and sales support.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $118,000 - $155,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will Do In This Role:

Learn all software applicable to “flexible automation” solutions and other technologies to aid the Solution Development team in pre-sales activities.Analyze customer needs regarding and make recommendations regarding software for applications being proposed.Provide technical support to team members and customers on proposed applications.Lead conversations with internal and external contacts about software selections and designs supporting automation solutions.Anticipated travel 10%-25%. What We Are Looking For:

Preferred Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field5+ years in software development or related fieldGeneral knowledge of common communication interfaces such as Web Services (SOAP, REST), Socket ProgrammingKnowledge of AGV / AMR / mobile robotics solutionsKnowledge of common industry business concepts / requirementsWillingness to learn and share about software offerings and technical solutionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical skillsStrong work ethic and ability to support multiple people / projects on a sustained basis.
