Solution Engineer - Molecular Diagnostics & Cytology

As Solution Engineer Molecular Diagnostics & Cytology, you will deliver high level expertise and knowledge to support our EMEA field service and in-house Technical Support teams. This includes expert level root cause investigation and providing input on product launches. You will look for areas to improve and actively drive improvement through key identified projects.

Our Solution Engineers are responsible to collect, validate and ensure distribution of knowledge, monitor regional intelligence and transfer upstream and downstream acting as a bridge between our regional and global organization.

Due to the nature of the role occasional US and Regional travel will be required.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

NPI (New Product Introduction): build and drive service and training plans to ensure service readiness in alignment with the commercial strategy. Manage regional product escalations, evaluate their impact, and drive resolutions through collaboration with R&D, headquarters counterparts, and regional team. Communicate status updates and ensure transparency and information sharing with relevant parties. Monitor product performance and service performance. Leverage the information and connection with the Field Service and Central Service organizations to identify improvement opportunities. Coordinate and drive the introduction of new parts, tools, and service procedures to ensure continuous enhancement of product reliability, serviceability, and service cost.  Ensure visibility, coordination, and communication on upcoming product changes (introducing new features and changes). Measure, estimate their impact, and act for optimal implementation. Ensure the optimal design of processes for deploying product corrections or improvements in the field, taking all parameters into account (minimize cost and resource impact, and maximize customer satisfaction).

 

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

A technical or scientific background, preferably in Biomedical Engineering Project Management experience and ability to be a change agent Ability to effectively interface with service teams Great communication skills to train, coach and collaborate with colleagues Skilled in analysing complex technical problems and system performance problems Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and any other language is an added value Demonstrated ability to successfully perform in an environment of changing priorities Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root-cause investigation Pro-active and Solution oriented
