Location: This role offers the flexibility of being home-based for qualified candidates in the United States.

 

Position Summary:

As a Solutions Manager in Energy Production, you will strengthen Bentley's industry strategy by providing thought leadership and driving successful go-to-market motions relating to energy production infrastructure.  This includes, but is not limited to, sub-industries such as: energy resources; oil & gas (including upstream, midstream and downstream); power generation (including solar, thermal, wind, nuclear, hydro and geothermal); process manufacturing and related sub-industries. In this role you will leverage your enthusiasm, credibility and deep understanding of energy production sector needs and challenges to focus on identifying and communicating the most value Bentley can deliver to each sub-industry.

 

 

Responsibilities include:

Working with leaders, managers and colleagues to execute the strategy, driving the process and implementation of industry growth initiatives across Energy Production Creating, evaluating, challenging and adjusting strategic go-to-market plans including well-researched and analytical business cases to meet evolving industry requirements and drive internal investments, partnerships and portfolio development activities Conducting internal and external research on the industry, sub-industries, market, competitors and customer personas Engaging internally with industry marketing to provide industry expertise in support of the ongoing production of marketing artefacts and sales tools including industry narratives, playbooks, industry webpages, webinars, conference sessions, etc Engaging internally with solutions engineering and other application engineers to provide industry expertise in support of the ongoing development of industry solution and product demonstrations and sales tools Engaging internally with account advancement and sales regions in support of industry-focused sales activities, selected RFx initiatives and user engagement Engaging internally with product teams associated with energy production capabilities including engineering simulation, design modeling, project delivery, asset performance, etc. Engaging externally with key customers, industry groups and strategic partner organizations to identify market opportunities Engaging externally with and representing Bentley at leading industry associations, conferences and events Supporting internal coordination activities including Energy Industry Council, management reporting and related general action tracking and management Advocating internally for energy production sub-industries, highlighting their critical contribution to Bentley ARR and their immense potential to drive ongoing growth for Bentley

 

 

Required qualifications:

Comprehensive understanding of engineering, construction, and operation workflows relating to energy infrastructure and its supporting technology landscape Well-developed energy literacy, credibility and a genuine enthusiasm for addressing the challenges of the energy transition Strong research and data-driven analytical skills for sub-industry business-case development Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders Driven, accountable, self-starter; comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment. Clear, concise communicator with persuasive writing and presentation skills This role requires 40-50% travel. Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements).

 

 

Desired qualifications:

Experience with working in Energy and related consulting sectors 10+ years of experience in product / program management of digital solutions for energy industries 5+ years of management experience leading teams and delivering results
