Solution Support and Quality Assurance Senior Engineer
About the Role
The Solution Support and Factory Quality Leader will play a crucial role in driving the success of Structured Cabling portfolio of Prysmian. This position requires an initiative-taking and technically proficient individual with a strong understanding of the structured cabling industry and its evolving global standards. The Leader will be responsible for factory and product development, providing support for structured cabling opportunities and ensuring highest standard of product quality assurance processes.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development
Collaborate with factory and technical teams to develop new products and solutions tailored to the specific needs of the structured cabling market.Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Prysmian's structured cabling product portfolio, including cables, connectivity solutions, and other relevant technologies.Stay abreast of industry global standards and regulations related to Enterprise IT infrastructure.Datasheet generation and maintenanceCode creations within SAP.Support marketing efforts and activities.Quality Assurance
Support Purchasing function with factory pre-qualification and audit.Ensure product and packaging compliance to specifications.Certificate applications and renewal Work with factory to address quality claims:identify root causes. Facilitate corrective actions. 8D report generation.
Communication of findings to internal and external stakeholders.Sales Support
Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team in closing structured cabling opportunities.Develop and deliver technical presentations and training to internal and external stakeholders.Conduct site visits and technical assessments to support customer projects.Technical Expertise:Serve as the internal expert on structured cabling and ethernet technologies and their best practices.Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to customers and internal teams.Stay current on industry best practices and emerging copper and fiber technologies, Power Over Ethernet and sustainability.Qualification / Experience
Education: bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronic, Information Technologies or related.Experience: at least 7 years of progressive experience in the structured cabling industry.Technical Skills
Strong understanding of structured cabling, including single pair ethernet, power over ethernet, and network architectures.In-depth knowledge of cable systems, including fiber optic, copper, and their connectivity accessories.Familiarity with structured cabling design and construction standards.Experience with engaging consultants, system integrators and cabling installers.Certifications
EPI Certified Network Cabling Design Professional, BICSI RCDD or equivalent.Skills:
