OpenX is seeking a talented and experienced Solutions Architect to join our team. In this role, you will act as both a technical advisor and project manager, working with publishers and supply aggregators to ensure they maximize the value of OpenX’s multi-screen ad technology platforms. You will be responsible for the seamless integration of our solutions into their publishing and advertising environments, delivering world-class service and technical expertise throughout the entire client lifecycle.
As a Solutions Architect, you will lead the deployment, testing, and launch of OpenX products, serving as the primary point of contact for technical and product-related inquiries. You will also foster strong, long-term relationships with clients, guiding them through configuration optimizations and platform upgrades. This role requires a blend of technical acumen, project management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Onboarding: Lead the onboarding process for new clients, acting as the primary technical advisor and project manager from contract signing through product stabilization. You will provide essential documentation, project plans, and guidance to ensure a smooth and efficient integration of OpenX products.Technical Leadership: Serve as a trusted technical expert, advising clients on the optimal configuration of OpenX solutions to meet their specific business and technical needs. You will work closely with partner product, technical, and business teams to ensure successful product deployment and ongoing performance.Project Management: Oversee the deployment, testing, and launch of OpenX products, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and to specification. You will manage project timelines, handle technical escalations, and ensure clear communication between internal teams and clients.Ongoing Relationship Management: Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with partners post-launch, continuing to provide technical guidance and product expertise. You will proactively identify opportunities for optimization and growth, ensuring our partners get the maximum value from OpenX products.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Product, Engineering, and Business Operations, to address client needs and ensure alignment with product roadmaps. You will also be responsible for communicating product updates and changes to clients, guiding them through any required adjustments.Monitoring and Optimization: Track product performance and work closely with partners to identify areas for improvement. You will ensure that OpenX products deliver optimal results for strategic clients, troubleshooting any issues that arise and advising on technical or product adjustments.QualificationsExperience: At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a technical, client-facing, or operations role requiring strong cross-functional program management.AdTech Experience: A background in AdTech or digital advertising is highly preferred, with a solid understanding of the industry landscape and technologies.Project Management: Strong project management skills with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.Client-Facing Experience: Proven experience working with external clients in a sales, account management, or technical advisory role. You should be comfortable interfacing with both technical and business stakeholders.Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of common web and mobile technologies, including XML/XSLT, HTML, JavaScript, Flash, SSL, and other internet/networking protocols. Strong troubleshooting skills are essential for success in this role.Problem-Solving: A self-starter with a passion for innovation and a drive to see ideas through to completion. You should be a creative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work across teams and departments to drive projects to successful completion. Experience driving collaboration between technical, product, and business teams to meet common objectives.Analytical Mindset: Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions to optimize product performance.Technical Communication: Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, including clients’ business teams.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred, though not required.Preferred SkillsMobile Technologies: Expertise in mobile development, including Objective-C, Swift, or Java.Video Advertising Technologies: Experience with video advertising standards and protocols such as VAST.Innovation and Initiative: A proactive, self-motivated individual who is always looking for new ways to solve challenges and improve processes.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.$135,000 - $160,000 a yearPursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, New York Fair Chance Act, and any other state or local hiring regulations, we will consider for employment any qualified applicant, including those with arrest and conviction records, in a manner consistent with the applicable regulation. 
OpenX is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For applicants in New York, New Jersey, California, and Colorado, the base salary range is $135,000-160,000 per year + bonus + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.  The salary range may differ in other states.
