The HERE Business & Solution Architecture team enables customers to achieve their business objectives through the use of HERE products and services. A Sales Solutions Architect works closely with the HERE Sales team and customers throughout the sales cycle to gather requirements, design, validate, and help implement solutions that solve variety of industry-specific location related business problems.
This role will primarily focus on supporting HERE Direct Sales teams in a diverse range of industries, including customers in the transportation and logistics, mobility and supply chain segments as well as the public sector. A Sales Solutions Architect identifies how HERE products & services can be integrated into the HERE customer offerings and then takes ownership of all pre-sales technical activities in order to win new business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Engagement & Technical DiscoveryAct as technical consultant to the customer and HERE Account Executives during presales activitiesLead technical discovery by identifying & documenting customer requirements and objectives.Work hands-on with customers to demonstrate the value and capabilities of HERE technologies – from demos to proof of concept to implementation.Solutions:Act as technical lead to design solutions based on the HERE Platform, Location Services, map content, and partner offeringsCreate and present solution architectures that represent end-to-end solutions for the customerIdentify & mitigate solution delivery risks throughout sales cycleDevelop proof-of-concept solutions using HERE technology componentsTeam CollaborationRepresent the voice of the customer, including requirements & competitive insights, across HERE organizations to justify product development & investment decisions Partner with HERE teams to understand industry ecosystems and partner networks – to better inform solution options for our customersEngage with Business & Functional Groups to develop expertise across the HERE portfolio i.e., pricing, marketing, strategy, portfolio planning, researchIndustryUnderstand & articulate problem statements for strategic & solution partnersKeep up to date with technology trends of customers and competitorsCreate and contribute to solution briefs used as part of go-to-market sales effortsWho are you?
You are an independent and quick learner comfortable working with minimal guardrails. You prefer to be hands-on with technology – developing proofs of concept, analyzing data, implementing APIs & services. You enjoy writing code as much as you enjoy interacting with customers to close a deal. You take time to truly understand customer and market imperatives (pain points) with a keen eye to connect problems to technology capabilities and solutions. In the absence of readily available information, you initiate collaboration with other groups to find your answers. You are comfortable working with customers and presenting to stakeholders at all levels. Working in a large organization while keeping an agile mindset is not an issue for you.
Required qualifications
3+ years experience in sales engineering or other customer-facing role (pre or post-sales)BS / MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or GISProficiency with JavaScript and RESTful APIsDomain expertise with geospatial information systems (GIS) and location services, ideally with working knowledge of the ESRI suite of software Experience working with database technologies (traditional RDBMS or NoSQL)Experience with data architectures, cloud services technologiesAbility to interface at all levels in Product, Development, and Sales organizations; to manage up, down, and across effectivelyWorking knowledge of SW development principles (including CI/CD, DevOps; customer requirements)Excellent communication skills – from technical whiteboarding to executive presentationsPreferred Qualifications Experience:
Experience implementing Location Services into enterprise applicationsAndroid / iOS mobile developmentCloud Services certification – e.g. AWS Solutions ArchitectEnvironment
Works independently with regular engagement and direction from the Senior Director and/or Vice President levels Drives and motivate cross functional groups within HERE to meet and exceed expectations on deliverables Ensures that all HERE activities follow HERE architecture principles. This includes completing all required deliverables, standards and best practices Proactively identify new and innovative ways to respond to new challenges and HERE business initiatives
Scope
Job Description is for an individual contributor role Solution Architect will cooperate and orchestrate across functional teams when the task is to architect a solution that satisfies customer needs Solution Architect will represent HERE values with utmost professionalism in both internal and external engagements
The expected base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $170,000 per year. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as skills and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, which is subject to company and individual performance.
