2.Purpose of Position: The Solutions Architect will be responsible for :
  The solution architect exists to provide technical advice and support to the sales team, link the needs and desires of the customer to a technically feasible solution, and coordinate product development across R&D/engineering teams. 

3.Key Responsibilities: 
• Provide pre-sales and post-sale technical support to business and customers.
• Accompany the Strategic Account Manager to discuss specific product sets and solutions to granular detail when interacting with the technical teams of the customers.
• Present existing technical capabilities to the customer and assist in gathering customer requirements and thinking through the technical methods of delivering to customer needs. 
• Supports R&D/engineering teams in the development of requirements, for process or system solutions, which may span multiple business domains by leveraging partnerships with stakeholders and appropriate IT teams.
• Defines the impact of requirements on upstream and downstream solution components in the Oil and Gas Industry.
• Work with the Service Technical team to maximize all opportunities to raise the technical ability and effectiveness of Service Engineers in the Region.
• Help handover tender technical requirements to the Service/ Projects team and liaise with the Projects Manager on all technical matters.
• Provides insight and influence business leaders on how to integrate requirements with current systems and business processes.
• Reviews, evaluates, and prioritizes value gaps and opportunities for process enhancements or efficiencies. 

4.Relationships
• Key Relationships: Customer, Sales, Engineering, R&D, Service Tech Support, Service Projects, Supply Chain.    

1.Education & Experience:  The ideal candidate will have 
• 8-10 years of engineering experience in either electrical or mechanical products
• Domain expertise in the Oil and Gas Industry, preferably with the Oil Manufacturing Companies
• Good understanding of the various products used in forecourts like Dispenser Units, Tank Gauging Units, Various type of pumps , vapour recovery systems etc. and their integration to other components used in the O&G industry
• Understanding of IOT and digital gateways, cloud servers , communication protocols and gateways etc.
