Location 1 month in San Diego then Columbus OH, Remote might also an option. 
Client is looking for a Solutions Consultant to join our Professional Services 

group that will take responsibility for the implementation of our Electronic 

Laboratory Notebook (ELN). This application is configurable, and customizable 

via scripting, and utilizing Client’s Foundation. The integration with 

commercial and non-commercial scientific packages from Client or third-party 

vendors as well as making sure that the solutions are technically appropriate 

will also be required. 

background in Chemistry, Biology or Biological Sciences, Engineering or 

another relevant scientific discipline, and have a minimum of 5 years of 

experience developing commercial software products or enterprise software 

applications. Industry experience in the academic area of study is plus, to 

gather business requirements from scientists and convert to technology 

solutions. The ability to effectively multi-task amongst multiple projects is 

imperative, along with the ability to work on projects either alone or as part of a 

team. Delivery of the projects will be within the constraints of scope, quality, 

time and costs in order to meet the project objectives and to achieve high 

customer satisfaction. Travel may be required.

We are looking for someone with the following technical skills:

 Strong object-oriented design skills and significant development expertise 

in C# / .NET are required. 

 Experience with Javascript and Python, as well as strong knowledge of 

HTML and XML, are preferred. 

 Experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server and capable of working with 

relational database models. 

 Applicants with a proven interest and expertise in life science methods and 

familiar with a number of existing packages from Client, Tripos, MDL, 

CambridgeSoft, Labware, etc. will be considered (candidates having direct 

experience with Electronic Lab Notebook applications are strongly 

preferred). 

 Prior experience with statistics packages such as SAS and R and with 

laboratory management systems like LIMS and LabView systems is 

desirable. 

 A familiarity with Pipeline Pilot / Accelrys Enterprise Platform is preferred. 

Experience in Pipeline Pilot specialized collections is a plus.

 Experience in the use of collaborative development systems - its use for 

requirements tracking and unit testing (e.g. Jira) 

 Experience in the use of source code management software (e.g., 

Perforce)
