This Solutions Engineer will partner with the TierPoint sales team to assist in closing new business opportunities by gaining a thorough technical and business understanding of clients' needs and matching those needs with solutions within the TierPoint service portfolio.
Responsibilities Provides quality internal and external customer service surrounding the Company valuesProvide technical product guidance and support during pre-sales discussions with current and prospective customers and partnersParticipate in meetings and lead technical discussion. Act as the technical Trusted Advisor to prospective clients by aligning their business and technical needs with the appropriate solutionsProvide RFP responses, technical drawings, presentations, scopes of work, and technical recommendationsParticipate in customer-focused seminars, tradeshows, events, and presentationsStay up to date on emerging technologies and products, including attaining certifications and participation in industry events as appropriateProvide ongoing product technical training to the TierPoint direct sales organization and partnersAids in account renewal, refreshing product and solutions to align with current offeringsServes as the Solutions Engineering SME (subject-matter-expert) for the TierPoint implementation of the pre-sales solutionTravel within your assigned territory as required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred or demonstrated equivalent related work experiencePreferably 5-7 years of presales experience in Cloud, Managed Services, Colocation, and Business Continuity with working knowledge of VMware virtualization, Microsoft Operating Systems, Storage, Security, LAN and WAN networking, and replication technologiesPreferably experience and proven success scoping, designing, and implementing solutions for public cloud hyperscalers such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS along with technical and pre-sales certificationsPrior working experience in an IT/Operations role preferredStrong written, verbal and presentation skills are requiredAbility to create detailed technical Visio documents and lead interactive whiteboarding sessions with internal and external customersAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to think quickly and precisely in a fast-paced environmentExperience presenting technical topics to both technical and business audiencesTechnical Certifications a plusAdequate professional experience and knowledge to perform Job ResponsibilitiesStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal skillsAbility to prioritize and organize effectivelyAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to work both independently and with othersAbility to operate in a fast moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with tight deadlinesProficiency in using MS Office Suite and Windows-based computer applications

Pay Range $127,000.00 - $195,459.25
