The target compensation range for this position is $72,000 to $120,000 OTE (which includes commission). Individual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications such as skills, education, and experience, as well as internal equity and market conditions.

As a Solutions Engineer supporting the Bluehost Agency Team, you will play a pivotal role in helping agencies grow their business through the power of WordPress and Bluehost’s hosting solutions. You’ll work closely with customers to identify their needs, craft tailored technical solutions, and provide the expertise necessary to achieve their online goals. Our mission is to deliver world-class technical support and consulting that empowers agencies to thrive in the digital landscape. This is a customer facing role.  

 

What you’ll do & how you’ll make your mark 

Guide Evaluation Processes: Partner with Account Executives to guide agencies through evaluating Bluehost’s WordPress hosting solutions, ensuring alignment with business and technical needs. 

Lead Discovery Sessions: Conduct deep-dive discovery with agencies to understand their goals, challenges, and how Bluehost’s offerings—WordPress, Cloud, VPS, and Dedicated servers—can address them. 

Performance and Security Optimization: Consult agencies on caching, CDN, SSL, and security best practices to ensure fast, reliable, and secure WordPress site operations. 

Deliver Compelling Demonstrations: Present tailored product demos showcasing how Bluehost’s WordPress hosting can address scalability, e-commerce, and multisite needs. 

Troubleshooting and Technical Consulting: Provide expertise in resolving WordPress-specific technical issues related to performance, migrations, and plugin conflicts. 

WordPress Community Insight: Stay up to date with the WordPress community and core updates to advise agencies on how to leverage the latest trends and tools. 

Tailored Solutions: Work with agencies to implement WordPress hosting solutions that meet specific needs, such as WooCommerce for e-commerce sites or managing multiple sites for clients. 

 

Who you are & what you’ll need to succeed 

Industry & Product Knowledge: 4+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, ideally within the hosting, SaaS, or web development space. Expertise in WordPress and hosting solutions such as Cloud, VPS, and Dedicated servers. 

Consultative Approach: You have a consultative mindset and can build strong, trust-based relationships with customers to help them solve their challenges. 

Business-Driven Mindset: You excel at translating technical features into business value, creating compelling stories that resonate with agency customers. 

Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences, making complex concepts accessible and engaging. 

Team Player: Eagerness to collaborate with sales, product, and marketing teams to continuously improve our offerings. 

Customer-Centric Focus: You’re passionate about empowering agencies to succeed with the best hosting solutions on the market.
