We are seeking a Solutions Engineer to join our dynamic pre-sales team that is responsible for driving Cisco’s Data Center Networking & Compute business. The team is strategically positioned within Cisco to capitalise on the growing customer opportunity to modernise DC environments, build AI-Ready DC Infrastructure and enable our customers to take advantage of the significant investment Cisco is making in the portfolio. Your Impact
Acting as a trusted technical advisor, you will be part of a dedicated and hardworking team, who works with customers, partners and engineering teams to educate, influence, and position the right technical solution to meet the customer’s needs.

* Driving our pre-sales engagements by bringing a deep understanding of how technology can solve complex business problems.
* Exploiting your technical knowledge and experience, you'll deliver outstanding technical presentations, facilitate creative solution workshops, lead proof of concept labs, and, when needed - get into the detail of how technology works.
* Staying sharp on the latest products, solutions and market trends, becoming the 'go to' technical specialist that customers trust, enabling us to build lasting and meaningful relationships.
* You'll be part of a tightly coordinated team of extraordinary, versatile, and multi-skilled experts. While you love working under your initiative, you also see the unseen value of close teamwork. You thrive in helping others and always see opportunities to exchange knowledge to develop yourself and your colleagues.
* Competing and winning against other suppliers by advocating a 'big picture' approach, developing outstanding competitive insight and sharing successful strategies with the broader team.
* This role is focused on our largest Public Sector accounts, working on some of the most exciting projects to deliver technology innovation into UK Central Government and National Security and Defence entities.
Minimum Qualifications
* 5+ years of technical experience (preferably selling Compute, Storage, and/or DC Networking solutions).
* Demonstrate solid understanding of several of the following domains/of the latest industry advancements in Data Center Networking and Private Cloud technologies, tools, and trends.
* Experience in engaging with customer roles from engineers to C-Suite, aligning technology to business drivers.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills - ability to value-sell and deliver engaging workshops to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Strong analytical skills: ability to assess a problem and resolve with an effective course of action
Preferred Qualifications
* Detailed knowledge of Cisco’s Data Center Networking and Compute portfolio, including Nexus, ACI, VXLAN/EPVN, Nexus Dashboard, UCS-X and Intersight
* Familiarity of containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and Openshift
* Knowledge of Automation approaches and tools such as Python, Ansible, or Terraform
* UKI Public Sector clearance is preferable.
