As a Software Engineer on the AI and Emerging Technology team, you’ll partner with business and IT teams to design and build infrastructure, prototypes, and production systems to enable AI solutions at Capital Group. You'll provide reasoned recommendations on how to imagine, develop and launch solutions with transformative power.
From AI and cloud solutions to original and developing technology products and services, you will address challenges at their core. You will develop products, services, and experiences that disrupt markets, generate value, and positively impact millions of lives.

You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent experience.You have at least 3 years of software engineering experience with expertise in: Python, JavaScript, AWS (or similar cloud technology).You understand the fundamentals of machine learning. You have experience working with popular machine learning libraries and building using LLM APIs and orchestration frameworks.You’re thoughtful in your approach to software engineering practices. You enable a future-ready, high-quality, and responsive code base. You have a collaborative mindset and are eager to both learn and teach.You have a foundation of technical ability, business acumen, leadership skills, and a desire to provide knowledge transfer. You are a strong communicator equally capable of talking business with businesspeople and technology with technologists.
Southern California Base Salary Range: $92,423-$147,877
San Antonio Base Salary Range: $75,980-$121,568
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
