What You Will Be DoingIn this role, you will be part of the Global Strategy and Strategic Partnerships team at ChargePoint supporting all technical aspects of customer engagements. Your responsibility encompasses electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) and infrastructure with a particular focus on the software and systems that underpin our solution offerings. At the start, it is expected that a large share of the time will be dedicated to projects in the Auto OEM markets.
You will be responsible for actively driving and managing technology evaluations, working as a key advisor and advocate for our products and solutions, engaging with customers in person or remotely, performing engineering assessments, and developing recommendations to assist customers with the deployment of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. You will also be actively participating in RFP/Tender responses and providing training on our products.
Core Responsibilities Maintain deep technical and business knowledge of electric vehicle and fleet directions and trends, and how to effectively integrate electric vehicles and charging infrastructure into fleet and business operations. Develop and deliver technical proposals to partners and customers in support of the sales process, educating potential customers on the benefits of ChargePoint solutions Act as a technical consultant, learning and understanding customer needs and developing the right solutions; working with product and solutions management to help align development activities with customer and market needs (focused on the up-to-Day 0 phase). Providing technical training on our products and solutions to partners Maintain knowledge of the competitive landscape and how to sell against the competition Responsible for identifying technical issues that may affect customer satisfaction and proactively working to resolve such issues Provide both general “best practice” and customer-specific engineering recommendations for ChargePoint software feature usage, API implementations, and integrations with external systems. Respond to functional and technical elements of RFPs/Tenders; assist in the development and execution of SoWs (statements of work) and other proposals You will be responsible for the proper handover to the Program Management team in order to create a smooth Day 0 to Day 1 transition. Respond to Information Security / Information Technology (IS/IT) questions related to network security and data privacy Requirements Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or equivalent Minimum 5 years of combined experience in a systems engineering, telecommunications, information technology or technical consulting capacity EV charging backend, Telematics or Energy Management experience beneficial Excellent oral and written communication skills – English desired, German considered a plus Strong customer facing and relationship building skills Team player Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or equivalent preferred LocationNetherlands, UK, Austria, Germany or France.
