**Description:** We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Sommelier to join our team at Park Hyatt Los Cabos. The Sommelier will be responsible for curating an exceptional wine experience for our guests, managing the wine program, and working closely with the culinary and service teams to enhance food and wine pairings. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of wines and beverages, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to educate both guests and staff on wine selections. **Key Responsibilities:** **Wine Program Management:** + Develop and maintain the hotel’s wine list, ensuring a diverse selection that complements the restaurant’s menu. + Source, purchase, and manage wine inventory, maintaining optimal stock levels. + Establish relationships with wine vendors, distributors, and wineries. + Ensure proper storage, cellaring, and serving standards for all wines. + Monitor wine costs and pricing strategies to optimize profitability. **Guest Experience & Service:** + Provide expert wine recommendations and pairings to guests, enhancing their dining experience. + Conduct wine tastings and special wine-pairing events. + Engage with guests to educate and create memorable wine experiences. + Offer exceptional service, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. **Staff Training & Development:** + Train front-of-house staff on wine knowledge, proper service techniques, and pairing recommendations. + Lead educational sessions and tastings for the restaurant team. + Develop wine service protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards. **Compliance & Quality Control:** + Ensure compliance with all local and national alcohol laws and regulations. + Maintain high standards for wine presentation, service, and overall guest experience. + Stay updated on wine trends, emerging regions, and industry best practices. **Qualifications:** + Certification from a recognized wine institution (e.g., Court of Master Sommeliers, WSET, or equivalent). + Previous experience as a Sommelier in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment. + Extensive knowledge of wines, spirits, and food pairings. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell and enhance guest experiences. + Advanced English level (B2 ) **Primary Location:** MX-BCS-Cabo San Lucas **Organization:** Park Hyatt Los Cabos Hotel %26 Residences **Job Level:** Full-time **Job:** Bars/Restaurants/Outlets **Req ID:** CAB000208 Hyatt is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
