RADIOLOGY AND DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING SERVICES FOR GREATER CLEVELAND

Southwest General Health Center offers state-of-the-art imaging technology to support accurate, timely diagnosis and treatment. Procedures include a wide range of services from basic x-ray studies to sophisticated, real-time imaging of the heart. We offer comprehensive imaging services at multiple locations: Middleburg Heights, Strongsville, and Brunswick.


SONOGRAPHER

POSITION SUMMARY:
The sonographer will perform general ultrasound exams that include OB/GYN, abdomen, small parts, breast, interventional and pediatrics.  The primary duties will include:

Collects and documents medical history from patient. Utilizes the RIS system for obtaining previous studies and reports. Consults with radiologists to ensure appropriate procedure and process is followed. Provides professional, safe and compassionate care for all patients. Have the ability to be proactive to safeguard any potential adverse events. Assist with departmental operations, patient workflow and scheduling. Knowledgeable of PACS, OB reporting system, EMR, and teleradiology. Mentors students from contracted sonography schools. Ability to float to respective off-site locations.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
Must be a graduate from an accredited Diagnostic Sonography school. 

Required length of experience:
One (1) year of hospital experience preferred but not required.

Required licensure, certification, and/or registry:
ARDMS required (Students must obtain registry one year after hire).
CPR certification required.
