POSITION SUMMARY:

White River Marine Group is seeking a Sourcing Agent that will be responsible for sourcing materials and components in support of multiple boat brands across our network of manufacturing facilities.  This individual will be responsible for executing sourcing strategies, supporting supplier relationships, and cost effectiveness of direct materials.  Position requires an understanding of market trends, contract negotiations, and manufacturing processes.  Will work closely with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supply base to ensure a robust supply chain.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Supplier Management:  Strengthen relationships with current suppliers.  Discover, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers.Cost Management:  Maintain system costs at high level of accuracy.  Identify cost savings opportunities with an eye toward quality and delivery performance.Negotiation:  Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms while maintaining WRMG requirements for cost, quality, delivery and service.Market Analysis:  Requires an awareness of market trends, commodity and material prices, and global developments – leading to informed decisions.Quality:  Collaborate with suppliers, engineering, and quality team to ensure materials and components meet WRMG quality standards.Reporting:  Prepare reports on sourcing activities, supplier performance, commodities, and market conditions for management review.Problem Resolution:  Resolve issues related to supply chain disruptions, supplier performance or material quality. ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Degree Required:    Bachelor's DegreePreferred Degree:  Bachelor's Degree relevant to material management, purchasing activities preferredYears of experience:  1-4 years of experience related to material management, sourcing and purchasing activities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

5% or as needed; Some travel may be required to support supplier quality program and ensure supplier compliance
