Sourcing Analyst-Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) Buyer

**DESCRIPTION**
We are looking for a talented **Sourcing Analyst – Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) Buyer** to join our team. The MRO Buyer will specialize in purchasing and will work hybrid two or more days per week on-site as needed at our Troy, MI site.
The **MRO Buyer** will conduct complex analyses of markets, supply chains, and supply bases to drive sourcing process improvements. You will identify qualified suppliers and execute sound source selection processes, maintaining regular interfaces and relationships with suppliers. By applying key procurement principles, you will ensure a reliable supply of specialized items and execute complex sourcing strategies that align with agreed-upon plans, optimizing cost, quality, and supplier relationships.

+ Execute complex sourcing tactics to achieve optimal cost, quality, and delivery.
+ Contribute to strategy formulation for sourcing and category commodities.
+ Analyze procurement initiatives to support cost-effective, high-quality goods and services.
+ Present improvement recommendations to senior leadership.
+ Ensure consistent application of sourcing procedures and processes.
+ Support management with price benchmarking, vendor management, and market analysis.
+ Lead and coach a team of sourcing analysts and specialists, while negotiating contracts and maintaining supplier relationships.

+ **Protect Intellectual Property:** Ensure the protection of Cummins' intellectual property by engaging with legal and procurement functions and clearly defining ownership rights in agreements.
+ **Excel in Negotiations:** Use tools and methods to achieve stakeholder objectives and mutually agreed contract terms.
+ **Adhere to Procurement Ethics:** Avoid engagements that may compromise sourcing, selection, and management processes, and seek counsel to ensure compliance.
+ **Master Procurement Policies and Tools:** Understand and comply with all relevant procurement policies and procedures, and master the tools required for procurement work.
+ **Execute Sourcing:** Support the Request For Quote process and establish Total Cost of Ownership comparisons to select suppliers that meet Cummins and customer needs.
+ **Develop Supplier Contracts:** Create contracts that cover commercial and legal relationships, incorporating regional requirements and driving stakeholder engagement.
+ **Manage Supplier Relationships** : Define and manage relationships with key/strategic suppliers using the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process to deliver value.
+ **Mitigate Supply Base Risks:** Proactively minimize supplier risks using risk analysis tools and mitigation playbooks to manage continuity of supply, reputational risk, and margin risks.
+ **Implement Initiatives:** Implement sourcing strategies, meet cost reduction goals, support NA site locations, reduce supply base, optimize supply chain, and implement Indirect Procurement and eProcurement initiatives.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education/Experience**
+ College, university, or equivalent degree in a field appropriate for the function required.
+ This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
+ 3-5 years of experience in Indirect Procurement, Supply Chain.

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
