This Strategic Sourcing Leader is responsible for key strategic minerals and recycled glass (cullet) within the Insulation Business. Specific areas of responsibility include supplier creation and management, cost reductions driven through negotiations and material substitution, performance against specific sourcing metrics, and partnership with commercial and manufacturing interests to maintain and diversify lines of supply. This leader works closely with quality and technical professionals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Live the Safety standard (Safer Together), adhere to the safety responsibilities Compliance with personal safety action plan Adherence to Owens Corning safety policies, at all times Operational Delivery Drives customer value by ensuring timely delivery of lowest cost, on-spec, raw materials into each of our Insulation manufacturing facilities, partnering with Science and Technology, Supply Chain, and Commercial stakeholders. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of functional issues including specifications, raw material inputs, Owens Corning competitors/ alternative products, and inbound-outbound logistics. Manages supply portfolio, and accounts for short, medium and long-term risks while allocating resources to mitigate supplier risk as necessary. Manages multiple strategies with multiple sources and aligns with OC Operations in the delivery of these sources to OC plants. Represents OC in key negotiations with suppliers involved in positions of $10-60 MM and oversees ongoing supplier quality. Development and Execution of Strategy Setting Divisional Strategy as it aligns with the usage needs of the OC network, and the potential for high quality and low-cost alternatives. Overall responsibility to drive Mineral and Cullet strategies that are thoughtfully developed and analyzed with focused insight on the external market including: Macroeconomic supply and demand trends Commodity availability and capacity including OC participation versus overall market Recycling megatrends and impact on supply Potential for vertical integration and strategic partnerships Supplier performance management Value creation and other relevant business metrics Strategic direction will be attained through alignment with the Director of Insulation Sourcing, VP of Global Sourcing and with the businesses through General Managers and Manufacturing VP/Directors. Frequent reports to ILT members, and Strategic Roundtables on Cullet will also be a requirement. Will participate in all external lobbying and industry workgroups associated with the use of these Materials. This includes working closely with OC’s Government Affairs Department. The execution of strategies will take place through alignment with Sourcing leadership, Business leaders, Manufacturing leaders, Sustainability and Science & Technology to: Set clear goals and align expectations with broader team. Maximize availability and minimize total cost of ownership Monitor external market factors to enable timely adjustments and mitigate potential financial shortfalls

Undergraduate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related subject required At least 5 years of work experience in manufacturing, supply chain, sourcing or business roleExperience:
