We are seeking a Sourcing Manager to join our Professional Services Business Line (PSE) team. You will be responsible for strategic sourcing activities of PSE's product groups: Field Services, Repairs, and Expert Services at Metso.

 

This position is mainly located in Mesa, AZ (USA) but, we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. This role will need occasional travel.

 

What you'll do:

Lead and execute the strategic selection, qualification, and development of new and existing suppliers and their performance in USA to support PSE business. Assume full ownership of the delivery function and targets based on our strategic plans to increase profitability and support business growth.  Negotiate, and implement short-term and long-term supplier agreements. Develop and execute a structured supplier relationship management program. Identify and execute cost optimisation initiatives with key business stakeholders and the ongoing development of the savings pipeline to meet the PSE’s profitability targets. Support PSE business line strategy and requirements and drive initiatives proactively to meet sourcing objectives. Collaborate and align with internal stakeholders in the Market Area as a trusted sourcing partner as well with the global network of sourcing colleagues Drive continuous improvement of sourcing processes and procedures, ensuring best procurement practices and policies according to the Metso code of conduct. Other duties, as assigned.

 

Who you are:

You are experienced in working with suppliers, leading negotiations and contract management, supplier development, and performance assessments. You can conceptualize excellence in a strategic level and develop the means of how to achieve it on an operational level with a sense of urgency, when needed. You are proactive and possess a change management mindset. You are independent and manage your responsibilities with the highest level of quality. You act hands-on and when needed, you are used to make tough decisions.  You perform your tasks with an efficient structure, understand the value of processes and are focused on delivering results. You are experienced in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc. Office tools and SAP. Experience in managing both direct and indirect spend, Labour Hire and Maintenance Repair Operations (MRO) category or managing a large portfolio of suppliers in various categories is considered an asset.
