We are looking for top talent in the Minneapolis, MN area to work in a hybrid model. This will allow you to be closely connected with the team with the flexibility to determine the schedule that works best for you! **WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:** + Lead, develop and empower supply team members. Create a culture that fosters continuous learning and individual growth. + Responsible for the development and implementation of a strategic planning process for key commodities and suppliers that is integrated with the overall business objectives. + Select suppliers and negotiate agreements, based on a global search. Supply agreements may range from tactical commodity pricing agreements to more complicated, long-term strategic relationships. + Takes the lead role in developing and managing strong supplier relationships. Manages our supply base with the involvement and support of all required functions. Encourages active participation of supply management in all relevant activities, including product development, sales, planning, manufacturing, delivery, and after-sales support. + Implements and executes business processes that deliver against indirect spend cost and volume targets. **YOU HAVE:** + Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field. + 10 years' experience in a relatively large purchasing operation preferred. + Demonstrated experience leading a team required. + Passion for growing and developing people and being a champion of an already strong team culture. + Experience directly managing complex categories. + Strong negotiation skills including experience negotiating multi-million-dollar contracts. + Demonstrated ability to think strategically and work comfortably in ambiguity. + Manufacturing experience preferred. + Ability to travel a minimum of 15%. **WE HAVE:** + A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day + At nVent, we believe safer systems ensure a more secure world. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply. **Compensation Range:** $105,000.00 - $195,000.00 Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives. **Benefit Overview** At nVent, we value our people and their health and well-being.
