Worker Designation – This role is hybrid. This means you will be expected to report to one of our Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.

What does it take to be successful in this role?
+ Knowledge of sourcing principals, indirect procurement, supplier analysis, RFP and primary and secondary research methods
+ Skilled in conducting financial/cost analysis, business case development, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and decision modeling
+ Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communication and team facilitation skills to effectively interact and negotiate with senior management, internal and external customers, and suppliers
+ Aptitude for conceptualizing, communicating and selling new concepts while also being able to take an analytic approach to problem solving and strategic development
+ Strong personal computer skills with experience in MS Office
+ Strong personal computer skills with experience in SAP and Ariba preferred
Education & Experience Required
+ Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Accounting, Information Technology or Supply Chain Management
+ 2+ years of professional job-related experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Education & Experience Preferred
+ Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM)

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
+ Implements and maintains contract management systems and tools to support the entire contract lifecycle
+ Monitors and repots on the status of contracts, including milestones, compliance, and renewals
+ Collaborates with internal partners to develop contract templets, clauses, and workflows
+ Perform supplier/contract due diligence based on low and medium risk assessment
+ Sets contracting approach, templets, clause libraries, and standardized contract language
+ Responsible for validating, reviewing contracts in accordance with Aflac guidelines
+ Responsible for contract workspace; create contract headers, contract workspace using appropriate templets and contract compliance tool
+ Archive the counter signed contracts in the CLM tool
+ Ensure that contract documentation is properly stored, categorized, and accessible for audits and reviews
+ Support the Category Manager with negotiations during sourcing events
+ Support the category teams in maintaining a sourcing pipeline to identify items needing to be sourced, a timeframe for their sourcing, and resources to be involved
+ Plans end to end sourcing events and follows execution to ensure timely completion
+ Analyze contract performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms for the company while mitigating risks
+ Performs other related duties as required.

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive.
