Worker Designation – This role is hybrid. This means you will be expected to report to one of our Aflac offices located in {INSERT CITY/STATE HERE} for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.

What does it take to be successful in this role?
In-depth knowledge of sourcing principals, supplier analysis, RFP and primary and secondary research methods Ability to identify and research potential new suppliers Prepare proposals, request quotes and negotiate contracts Maintain strong supplier relations, liaison with internal stakeholders Knowledge of the principles, techniques, and methodology of Procurement, and ability to adapt the same to new situations Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communication and team facilitation skills to effectively interact and negotiate with senior management, internal and external customers, and suppliers Aptitude for conceptualizing, communicating and selling new concepts while also being able to take an analytic approach to problem solving and strategic development Strong personal computer skills with experience in Windows-based software.
Education & Experience Required
Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Accounting, IT, Supply Chain Mgmt., or related field Six or more years of professional job-related experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee the execution of necessary RFx to include requested for information, proposals, quotes, and bids to support the category management team Support the Category Manager with negotiations during sourcing events Utilizes market insights and internal demand to optimize market approach and estimate savings potential Perform supplier/contract due diligence based on medium and high-risk assessment Develops and executes fact-based negotiations with suppliers Evaluates and recommends RFx proposal for award based on agreed scoring criteria Facilitates contract drafting and review process in collaboration with Legal, suppliers, category management, and sourcing teams Support the category teams in maintaining a sourcing pipeline to identify items needing to be sourced, a timeframe for their sourcing, and resources to be involved Plans end to end sourcing events and follows execution to ensure timely completion Negotiate complex contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms for the company while mitigating risks Develops transition plan for new contracts and ensures proper storage and visibility of contracts Maintains contract lifecycle tools and templates, supports supplier negotiations, and provides SRM team with contractual obligations Performs other duties as required

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive.
