Sourcing Manager - Investment category
This role reports to the North America Procurement Director and is responsible for the end-to-end management of deals across global wealth and asset management (GWAM) categories including investment/specialized software and market data. The focus would be to develop and execute on the global category strategy for above categories and enable better decision making for Manulife business partners across the supply base with a focus on cost efficiencies, service quality and organization risk. This person will also deliver targeted savings through actions such as consolidating global company-wide purchasing volume and applying total cost of ownership levers to reduce cost and manage contracts with suppliers. Position Responsibilities: + End-to-end management of deals across a broad range of vendors that are required to make investment decisions for Manulife partners (e.g., Simcorp, Bloomberg, SS&C, RBC, ICE, LSEG, Moody's, MSCI). + Working closely with key stakeholders in the businesses, the incumbent will leverage his/her deep knowledge of the category, to identify and implement effective cost reduction strategies. + Lead large complex RFPs, supplier negotiations, particularly for large complex transactions, and ensure execution of developed strategy. + Quantify savings achieved, drive efficiencies, centralize competencies and maximize the value of vendor relationships. + Understanding and negotiating standard contractual terms and conditions to mitigate legal and business risk. + Thoroughly understand the investment software and/or market data categories including supply base landscape, industry trends, and new emerging developments and service offerings Required Qualifications: + Undergraduate degree + 6-10 years of experience in Procurement + In-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices e.g. RFx + Solid analytical skills; Excel and PowerPoint skills + Proven experience in delivering savings and value in a procurement function + Understanding of standard commercial contractual terms and conditions to mitigate business risk Preferred Qualifications: + Market Data sourcing and/or financial sourcing experience is an asset. + Experience working in the relevant spend category, directly and/or in a procurement organization When you join our team: + We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want. + We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words. + As part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see. \#LI-Hybrid **About Manulife and John Hancock** Manulife Financial Corporation is a leading international financial services provider, helping people make their decisions easier and lives better.
