In this role, you’ll lead cross-functional projects, manage vendor selection, and oversee contracting to support Vitalant, our affiliates, and related entities.

As a Sourcing Manager, you'll get to:
Conduct market research to identify alternative products, services, and suppliers.Analyze industry trends, market shifts, and regulatory changes to drive informed sourcing decisions.Develop and manage project plans to keep sourcing initiatives on track.Lead cross-functional teams in evaluating RFI and RFP responses, ensuring a fair and structured vendor selection process.Negotiate contracts for capital equipment, supplies, and services, overseeing smooth transitions to new suppliers.Independently create RFP documents that align with stakeholder needs while ensuring ethical procurement practices.Prepare bid analyses, cost models, and presentations to recommend vendors based on Total Cost of Ownership.Use fact-based negotiation tactics to resolve vendor issues, escalating when needed.Support leadership in planning and executing sourcing strategies for key projects.Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to mitigate risk and ensure contract compliance.Evaluate and approve contract changes to protect Vitalant’s best interests. Knowledge/ Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master’s degree preferred. Licenses/ Certifications CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) or CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) preferred. Experience Five years of Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) purchasing experience required. Healthcare purchasing experience preferred. Experience in healthcare Supply Chain Management environment preferred. Skills/ Abilities Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Effective interpersonal and presentation skills required. Effective oral and written communications skills required. Strong analytical, statistical, personal organization and problem solving skills. Able to establish priorities and follow through on projects, paying close attention to detail with minimal supervision. Ability to work in a team environment and participate as an active team member. Must have proficient skill with Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
