Danfoss México is looking for a Sourcing Project Manager for Power Solutions Global Procurement Organization, who will be responsible for a range of effective and efficient implementations of approved projects from end-to-end, ensuring all expectations and deliverables are met. In this role you will become part of a global organization within the Work Function division. The position will be located at Queretaro or Reynosa, we expect that you are willing to travel if it is required for a specific meeting or task. Valid Passport and US visa are required for this position.
Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
The key challenge will be to successfully initiate, plan, design, execute, monitor and control Procurement related projects with the objective of achieving divisional targets such as: cost savings, regionalization, supply reliability, etc. Timely completion while meeting quality and cost is of essence. You will be working both cross-functionally and globally in close collaboration with suppliers and internal functions.
Key responsibilities:
End-to-end responsibility in the delivery of procurement related projects (e.g. cost reduction, resourcing, dual sourcing, VAVE, regionalization, etc.) ensuring they are properly managed and meet all expectations. Manage and coordinate procurement activities in New Product Development & Innovation projects. Create cost savings pipeline by identifying and developing projects. Gaining alignment and approval from internal and external stakeholders. Create solid business cases truly reflecting Total Cost of Ownership. Assist in negotiating product/service pricing and contractual terms and conditions. Assist Category Managers on strategy development, supplier selection, bidding and negotiation process. Communicate with suppliers, internal customers, management and stakeholders about progress, risks and roadblocks. Facilitate structured problem solving. The ideal candidate possesses these skills.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical field. Excellent analytical and project management skills. Experience with procurement or related project management. Minimum 5-years of proven experience working in a global matrix environment. Technical experience with metal manufacturing processes (machining, turned parts, castings, forging). Strong negotiation skills and experience with assisting in Service Level Agreements and or Commercial Contract implementation. Good knowledge of reading technical drawings. Work independently and communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders at all organizational levels. Willing and able to mediate between differing stakeholder demands. Solid communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing. Goal-oriented and thrive on working in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
