If you’re a Sourcing Project Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The Sourcing Project Manager (PM) position exists to lead Sourcing Function for all new projects ensuring successful collaboration and integration between engineering, supply base, global category management, and supplier quality teams throughout the Product Life Cycle process in order to achieve an optimal product solution for Woodward.What You Will Be Doing Works with the PMO (Program Management Office), and Project Manage all Accountabilities for all projects. Primary Sourcing focal point for project management teams to plan, prioritize, align, manage all actions, deliverables, resolve issues; meet project's scope, schedule, budget targets, and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).Ability to develop, execute, and lead complex/large complexity project plans in support of sourcing projects.Primary Sourcing focal point for project management teams (including Engineering, Supplier Quality, Sales/marketing, Operations). Has the ability and knowledge of how to get things done within Woodward, is go to person throughout the organization for issue resolution, has experience and full proficiency of PLC, PLC sourcing processes, Sourcing requirements, quality system or business specific needs to get the job done and issues resolved.Sourcing lead on all engineering development projects of medium to high complexity, including platforms and proposals. This person strategically leads and influences others throughout the Woodward organization to ensure successful implementation of supply chain strategy for development projects. Additionally, drives, leads, and influences commodity members to complete actions for sub-project level activities to meet engineering project timelines and goals.Applies Sourcing commodity sourcing strategies to all engineering projects throughout a product life cycle while ensuring alignment with Woodward's business goals and customer requirements. Develop and drive project plans and strategically and proactively use design to cost, risk mitigation, commercial alignment, technical requirements, early supplier involvement activities and other tools or processes as necessary to address immediate or long-term project requirements.What We Are Looking For US – bachelor’s degree in arts/sciences (BA/BS) BA/BS in Business or Engineering required.2-5 years’ Experience in NPI environment preferred.5+ years’ Experience in Supply Chain/Purchasing, Engineering, manufacturing preferred.Greenbelt certification preferred.Ability to collaborate with Category Manager; have solid negotiation skills; ability to effectively analyze cost data by using Should Cost Modeling tools to achieve cost targets.Understands technical subject matter, including tolerances, key characteristics, and drawings. Demonstrated ability to train and mentor others in this area.Strong leadership skills including establishing and maintaining effective team relationships, an ability to manage and resolve conflict, the effective setting of priorities in the team and an ability to clearly define roles, responsibilities, and objectives.Demonstrated ability to work independently by working with project teams, develop project plans, execute them to achieve targets; develop and drive action plans, and deliver results.5% domestic travel may be required.This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
