Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

Represent Sourcing during scheduled functional reviews and prepare Sourcing Review templates for leadership Business Reviews for NPI programsEngage with Supplier Quality Engineers to drive a robust process on Supplier Selection, Supplier qualification and monitoring Supplier Performance KPIs in order to develop supply base ability to deliver valueWork effectively with technology, supplier quality, site materials and supply chain personnel on day-to-day problem resolutions, engineering change process and improvement opportunitiesLead assigned sourcing initiatives and develop sourcing strategy to drive product lines deflation, sole source elimination, supplier early engagement, supplier on time delivery, supplier MOQ/lead-time reduction/VMI programs.Partner with key commodity sourcing leaders to align sourcing strategy, initiatives and leverage volumes globally and regionallyEngage the business leadership team to develop sourcing programs / processesConduct qualification & competitive analysis of vendor products / servicesDevelop, plan, and manage programs to meet GE purchasing commitments in SourcingManage the complete purchasing and contracts ( MSA, NDA and Bailments)

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (Engineering or Business Management)Minimum of 5 years Sourcing / Purchasing experience in a major industrial environment

Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited, reference verification and background check.Must have unrestricted Canadian work authorization, or obtain work authorization in the short term.Proven change agent with excellent facilitative leadership and problem-solving skillsMinimum of 10 years strategic sourcing experienceKnowledge/expertise of Grid Automation product lines, electronic components and mechanical assembliesAbility to collaborate with remote team across time zonesSolid oral/written communication and influencing skillsInterpretation of purchasing contracts, industry standards, regulatory requirement documentsProject management and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyExpertise with negotiations and related analytical skillsStrong computer skills (Outlook, Windows, Excel)Leadership skills and ability to direct a cross functional teamAbility to cope with multiple complex situations dailyExposure to international contract agreementsHighly motivated, self-directed and self-sufficientPurchasing system / Oracle experience
