This role will assist with developing and controlling procurement within Strategic Buyer – IT (Information Technology) procurement, deployed in all various AIM operations.
The incumbent role, reporting to Strategic Sourcing Manager, is responsible for the strategic sourcing of the assigned spend category while ensuring the best overall added value for the company. In this position you will be responsible for requirement analysis, sourcing plan development, market approach, contract negotiations and the development and the maintenance of strong supplier relationships.
Support the development and implementation of short/medium term strategies for the appropriate procurement category. Support operations by providing business solutions for on-site requirements with consideration of overall supply chain strategy and utilizing basic total cost of ownership principles.
Responsibilities :
Central point for Canada and US AIM internal clients Analyse category spend and requirement analysis. Close relationship with internal clientsConduct market research, be aware of new vendors, new products and services, new opportunities.Developing category strategy and planningExecute category related strategic sourcing activities (including RFI / RFP / RFQ management)Manage relationship with vendors, develop new vendorsNegotiate agreements and contracts based on Weighted Criteria MatrixAchieve optimal pricing, in terms of price/quality ratio.Execute Contract Management activitiesContractingCover full transactional cycle, from the request definition to contract managementMonitor shipment and delivery of goods and servicesInvoicing validationSupplier performance evaluationResolve potential blockages, recommend solutions to operational and contractual issuesSavings reportingContribute to various cross-functional Purchasing projects and initiatives.
