Location: Framingham, MassachusettsJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $32 - 40 per hourWe are seeking an apparel Sourcing Specialist to manage direct import programs under management direction. This role involves building strong relationships with agents, vendors, and buyers, while making recommendations on order placements based on factory capabilities, quality, price, and delivery.Responsibilities: Effectively sources private label apparel programs within client Product Development area by building relationships with the Agents, Vendors and Buyers. Negotiates prices and determines appropriate order placement based on factory capabilities, quality and delivery. Develops and continuously evaluates the appropriate agent/vendor/factory structure for private label apparel. Ensures factories are capable of producing quality garments and can meet our requirements. Performs special projects as assigned. This is NOT a production position, purely sourcing. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. Extensive spread sheet proficiency including Pivot Tables is critical. Knowledge of apparel manufacturing, including fabric, color, yarn, garment construction, fit and specifications. Strong ability to break down the actual cost of a garment. Skills: Strong negotiation skills. PC skills which include Microsoft Office. Strong communication.
