Sourcing Specialist II - 1 Year Contract

Your Day-to-Day:

 

This role supports the Purchase Order (PO) issuance process and assists with order fulfillment as well as Contract creation. Employees in this role observe and support negotiations, assist in answering Business Unit questions, and handle straightforward issues relating to purchase orders and tracking order status. This role completes tasks as directed by higher-level staff and engages in continuous training.

Responsibilities:

Execute the sourcing process for assigned areas. Interaction with assigned operating business units, legal experts, and ISC personnel. External interaction with the supplier community and industry analysts. Analyzes responses to simple bid requests including the ability to distill commercial differences and bring forward succinct recommendations for assistance in selecting the appropriate supplier for the contract award. Conducts simple negotiations successfully. Lead and/or participate in sourcing project teams. Recommend and communicate sourcing strategy, progress and results to supervision and ISC management. Develop and maintain relationships with business units and suppliers; conduct industry analysis and evaluate supplier performance.  Provide market data to support supplier selection, qualification and on-going performance management. Drive down the total cost of ownership. Participate in sourcing data analysis, forecasting and planning. Develop new sources of supply and monitor ongoing supplier performance. Assists in managing external spending. Conduct business dealings with the highest level of integrity and regard corporate guidelines, legal and environmental regulations.

Who You Are:

Undergraduate degree with a preference in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or related fields preferred. Candidate must have 2 years of supply chain/procurement experience. Proven ability to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office with a focus on Outlook, Word, and Excel. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
