Job Description:
Esplanade Lakewood Ranch is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As Sous Chef, you will work alongside our Executive Chef to deliver exceptional dining experiences that exceed our guests' expectations. Located in the vibrant community of Lakewood Ranch, our culinary team prides itself on creativity, quality, and innovation in every dish we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen.
  Ensure high standards of food preparation, presentation, and quality control.
  Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and food safety standards.
  Collaborate with the culinary team to develop seasonal menus and daily specials.
  Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
  Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to sanitation and safety standards.
  There will be an expectation to help on the line or execute special events as necessary
  Uphold Esplanade Lakewood Ranch's commitment to excellence in hospitality and customer satisfaction.
 

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume, upscale restaurant.
  Strong leadership and communication skills.
  In-depth knowledge of kitchen operations and culinary techniques.
  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
