Job Description
Assist the Chef de Cuisine in overseeing daily kitchen operationsSupervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environmentEnsure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentationManage inventory, place orders, and control costs to maintain budget targetsImplement and maintain food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with local regulationsCoordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfactionParticipate in menu planning, food costing, and pricing strategiesConduct regular kitchen inspections and quality control checksAssist in planning and executing special events and catering servicesHandle customer feedback professionally and implement improvements as neededStay updated on culinary trends and techniques to continually enhance our offerings
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar senior kitchen roleStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse kitchen teamExcellent organizational and time management abilitiesDemonstrated proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisinesIn-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standardsStrong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standardsAbility to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCreative mindset with a talent for developing innovative menu itemsExperience in inventory management, food costing, and budget controlProficiency in using kitchen equipment and overseeing its maintenanceCulinary degree or relevant certification preferredKnowledge of menu planning and pricing strategiesCommitment to continuous learning and staying updated on culinary trends
