What You’ll Do:
As the Sous Chef II, you’ll be at the heart of the kitchen, assisting with the overall success of the food program and ensuring the smooth operation of our culinary functions. From menu planning to food preparation, you’ll be involved in every stage of the process. Your role will include:
+ Help coordinate and actively participate in the preparation and cooking of a variety of high-quality food items.
+ Collaborate with the culinary and marketing teams to plan and develop exciting new menus that align with our client's culture and objectives.
+ Play a key role in managing food costs, controlling expenditures, and ensuring operational efficiency without compromising quality.
+ Lead, train, and develop the back-of-house team to ensure they’re motivated and equipped to deliver top-notch meals.
+ Ensure adherence to health department regulations, company standards, and customer satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For:
+ We’re seeking a passionate culinary professional with a minimum of 5 years of related culinary experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
+ You should be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has:
+ Solid experience in diverse food service operations such as corporate dining, restaurants, hotels, or healthcare
+ Knowledge of food trends, quality production, sanitation, safety standards, and cost control
+ Strong leadership and coaching skills with a proven ability to train, develop, and motivate teams
+ Exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage kitchen staff effectively
+ A focus on maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction
Preferred Qualifications:
+ ServSafe or Department of Health Certification
+ Associate’s degree in culinary arts or related field
+ Computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
Work Schedule: This position offers a great work-life balance while working at a prestigious location.
+ Hours: Monday through Friday, 1PM-11PM
+ Weekends and Federal Holidays off
