HDR is seeking an experiencedConstruction Management/Field Services Leader to drive the successful delivery of high-impact civil infrastructure projects across Southern California. In this strategic leadership role, you'll guide multidisciplinary teams on major transportation, highway, bridge, rail, and aviation construction efforts—ensuring technical excellence, field efficiency, and client satisfaction at every step.

In the role of Southern California Construction Managment/Field Services Leader we'll count on you to:Lead and develop the construction services group and drive long-term growth for Southern California.Serve in the role of contract manager/project manager for various Construction Management/Construction Inspection contracts where HDR is the prime or sub-consultantManage and facilitate pursuits in highway-bridge, transit and aviation construction services. This includes meeting with clients, preparing proposals and presentations for construction pursuits.Manage a construction services staff of Engineers working throughout Southern CaliforniaResponsible for recruitment, retention and development of staff.Partner with area, regional, and national leadership with respect to opportunities for alternative delivery mechanisms for transportation projects including design-build program management, procurement services, quality programs and other related opportunities.The Construction Management/Field Services Leader may also function as a senior project manager and technical advisor on projects in addition to management responsibilities. You will take a leadership role in key pursuits and serve as a client manager for key clients.Take responsibility for development strategies, new business prospects, technical services, quality, and production methods and standards, all within established goals and objectives of the business group, region and company.Oversee and implement processes within the business group including quality assurance, business required processes, and corporate requirements.Participate in the annual strategic planning and budgeting process.Lead and coordinate services with other construction services groups locally and nationally.Work cooperatively with national leadership and marketing professionals on local and national efforts.Contribute to client management, marketing, planning, proposals and interviews.Coordinate with other business groups in Southern California as part of the leadership team.LI-CA1
Preferred Qualifications15-20 years of experience in construction management/CEI of civil infrastructure projects, including highways, bridges, transit, and or aviationProven experience leading construction services teams or managing large-scale infrastructure programs in a senior roleProfessional Engineer License(PE) strongly desiredBusiness development experience, knowledge of local market, local clients, competition, and recognition in the industryRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in an engineering, planning or a related fieldA minimum of 10 years of industry experienceExperienced in development and management of strategic marketing programs for planning and/or engineering servicesExperienced in development and management of a wide range of client relationships and specific program and/or project pursuitsExperienced in overall staff development to include recruiting, career path and professional growthExperienced with industry associations and maintains a visible profile in the market sectorAbility to work cooperatively with Regional Market Sector Directors, Market Sector Directors, Business Class Directors, Regional Business Group Directors, Area Business Group Managers, Area Marketing Managers and Area ManagersDemonstrated commitment to HDR values.
