Our goal is to create an environment where we all win with precision. **Your Career** Palo Alto Networks is looking for a SOX and External Reporting Assurance Manager to join our SOX and External Reporting Assurance team, reporting to the Sr. Manager, SOX and External Reporting Assurance. This is a high-impact role where you'll partner with business and IT stakeholders and you’ll play a critical role in the execution of our SOX 404 compliance program and other external reporting assurance efforts. The ideal candidate must have a strong audit or internal controls background—either in public accounting or industry—who is ready to take the lead on end-to-end SOX activities, help enhance risk management processes, and grow in a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate across the business, play a pivotal role in strengthening the Company’s internal controls over financial reporting. **Your Impact** + Lead process walkthroughs, audit testing documentation/workpapers according to established audit standards + Evaluate internal controls for design and operating effectiveness, improve efficiency and enhance risk mitigation activities + Prepare risk assessments and audit programs + Evaluate audit findings, identify and track deficiencies, and coordinate remediation + Collaborate with external auditors and internal business partners to execute audit milestones + Drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhancements to the SOX program + Partner and build strong relationships with control owners to drive awareness and accountability for controls + Assist in team initiatives and special projects as assigned to support SOX and corporate objectives **Your Experience** + 5+ years of relevant experience in public accounting, audit, SOX, or internal controls + Big 4 experience is a plus + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent military experience) + CPA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent certification preferred + Strong understanding of SOX requirements/standards, COSO framework and US GAAP + Attention to detail with passion to learn and ability to multi-task, adapt to change, and strong organizational and follow-through skills + Ability to thrive as an individual contributor in a high-functioning team + Proficiency with Microsoft Office or G-Suite tools; experience with audit/data analytics tools is a plus + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate + Self-driven with a growth mindset and commitment to excellence **The Team** The SOX and External Reporting Assurance team is responsible for managing and executing the company’s SOX 404 and external reporting assurance ensuring we are best in class. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $111000 - $180500. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus.
