SOX IT Governance Business Analyst

SUMMARY

As a SOX IT Governance Analyst V, you will assist in IT Governance responsibilities under the general direction of the Director, IT Governance, Risk & Security Assurance. You will engage IT General Control (ITGC) owners on the design, operation, and evidencing of their ITGCs. You will also support the development and implementation of RealPage’s maturing IT risk and internal controls program. An energetic, solution-minded personality with drive, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills will be needed for success in this position.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Possess strong knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley, IT governance, risk, internal control, and audit lifecycle, methodology, and concepts. Support maintenance of the organization’s SOX system inventory and Risk-to-Control Matrix (RCM) with regards to ITGCs. Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to identify and document new systems, IT risks, processes, and controls to better enact IT Governance. Support the maturation of the IT Governance program through training, operational excellence, and reporting. Provide meaningful insights and recommendations toward the design, operation, and optimization of the organization’s SOX IT environment. Stay informed on emerging IT governance trends, regulations, and best practices, integrating them proactively. Advise stakeholders on technical solutions and IT control guidance for new or modified processes.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES 

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 3-6 years' experience in SOX, IT Security, information systems, IT risk and controls, technical audit, or IT governance Strong understanding and working knowledge of SOX compliance, ITGC, and attestation reporting (SOC 1, SOC 2). Professional certifications (CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, CIA) preferred (or desire to obtain). Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with Excel data analysis experience strongly preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear and concise presentation of complex information. Excellent strategic, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Proven ability to recognize opportunities, identify process improvements, and apply structured analysis to establish trends and influence decisions. Skilled in relationship building, influencing, and negotiating with internal and external partners. Highly motivated self-starter capable of multitasking and meeting deadlines in a dynamic team environment.
