We are looking for a Seed Science Operations Soybean Seed Purification Manager to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Champaign, IL.

The Seed Science Operations Field Production team is searching for a Soybean Seed Purification Manager to work at our Champaign, IL site where we will conduct the phenotypical & trait Purification of Elite Soybean Breeding varieties that will be delivered to supply chain.
**As a Soybean Seed Purification Manager, you create chemistry by...**
+ Overseeing and optimizing the purification process of elite soybean varieties side-by-side with the soybean breeding process in North America, as well as providing support for the Seed Increase program for Trait Development.
+ Managing the entire purification process, including planning, planting, spraying, phenotypical rogueing, harvesting & quality control sampling the seed that will be delivered to supply chain.
+ Maintaining strict timelines & maintaining strict adherence to quality and regulatory standards in compliance with company policies and local and international rules.
+ Supporting the soybean breeding team in delivering pure high-quality soybean seeds to supply chain.
+ Collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing SOPs, optimizing production processes, coordinating with external partners, and providing leadership and support to the seed purification team, all while ensuring traceability of the material in compliance with regulatory and stewardship requirements.
**If you...**
+ Ph.D. in agriculture, agronomy, plant breeding or related field with 4 years of experience, OR
+ M.S. in agriculture, agronomy, plant breeding or related field with 6 years of experience, OR
+ B.S in agriculture, agronomy, plant breeding or related field with 8 years of experience.
+ Experience should be in soybean seed purification, soybean seed processing, soybean breeding or related roles within the agricultural industry.
+ Ability to operate & maintain farm equipment, protocols, and quality control measures.
+ Strong ability to develop, refine and troubleshoot to reach most efficiently genetic, phenotypic, purity, quality, and production criteria for each program.
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
+ Strong leadership abilities to inspire and guide the purification team towards achieving goals, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
+ Proven expertise in soybean field production operations.
+ Ability to travel up to 20% domestically, and potentially internationally.

**Pay transparency**
BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $116,000 - $159,500. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
