Position Description: The Spa Manager plays an important role in the daily operation of our business. The individual is responsible for driving sales and overseeing the execution/implementation of key business initiatives for the Spa. They oversee the day-to-day activities of our spa to ensure our customers and leisure members are consistently treated with impeccable customer service experience, and that the operations run smoothly, efficiently, and profitably. In addition, the Spa Manager has the responsibility of ensuring that all policies/procedures have been clearly communicated and are adhered to, maintain positive employee relations, and ensure that we are staffed with team members who can deliver the best practice and the highest standards in all areas and services. Flexibility is important; this position will require availability to work varied shifts including weekends, evenings, holidays, and necessary shift cover.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
All Required Certifications.High school diploma or GED equivalent.Prior job-related experience preferred.Prior management experience necessary.Computer literate.Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.Read, write, and speak English fluently.Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills.Enjoy collaborating with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality.Excellent communication and listening skills, as well as basic computer knowledge.Must be a team-player.Physical Requirement:
Ability to speak and hear.Frequent walking with some standing at times.Will stand for prolonged periods of time, and extended distances.Occasionally lifts/carries up to 25 lbs.Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bimanualdexterity and fine motor skills.
Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly.Able to spend extended periods of time on your feet, sitting or working in close quarters.Able to work early mornings and late nights.Duties:
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of our Spa.Create weekly work schedules, train new employees, and arrange staff workshops on new techniques and procedures.Possess knowledge of professional massage and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices. Effectively inform and educate our guests about specific wellness concerns.Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the spa.Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of products to assist with cost controls.Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered.Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.Responsible for the Spa’s finances, employees, recordkeeping, conducting promotional campaigns, retail purchasing, maintaining stock inventories and payroll management.Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.Provide accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses to all requests by guests.Maintain a cheerful outlook and contribute toward a quality work environment.Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa.Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.Communicate with management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.Any other duties assigned by the manager or supervisor.Mainsail is an Equal Opportunity Employer and it does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, sex or gender (including pregnancy, childbirth and pregnancy-related conditions), gender identity expression (including transgender status), sexual orientation, marital status, parental status, military service and veteran status, political affiliation, physical or mental disability, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local laws and ordinances.
