This Resort is surrounded by an ocean of Ponderosa Pines and gives guests exclusive access to Lake Arrowhead, a reservoir with a surface area of 780 acres. Lake Arrowhead is the perfect location for outdoor adventure enthusiasts and offers a variety of summertime and wintertime activities including hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, water skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ziplining, and more. The resort includes a Bar & Restaurant, Spa & Wellness Center, Outdoor Pool & Lake Beach as well as over 23,000 sq. ft of meeting and events space. Overview The Spa Supervisor assists the manager with overseeing all functions of the Spa, Fitness Center, and Recreation areas. Qualifications Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent. • Two – four years of experience in a supervisory role, within the hospitality or spa industry. • Recreation, fitness, and spa services background within a supervisory role. • Intermediate experience with information technology (computer and software skills). • Basic understanding and working knowledge of SpaSoft software, billing concepts, as well as arrival/departure flow to include preparation. • Ability to assist the manager with difficult guest situations and help de-escalate concerns by matching complaints with appropriate action and solution to provide the guest with a outstanding experience. • Must have a professional and Be the Difference attitude to work collaboratively with other team members. • Must be able to multi-task and back up staff in all spa / recreational areas. • Must be able to work in a high-stress, high volume, seasonal environment. • Must be able to work various shifts, overtime, holidays, and weekends, as necessary. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Provide day-to-day supervision related to all spa and recreation operations. • In the absence of the manager, will assist guests with issues as they arise; escalate as necessary to ensure guest satisfaction. • May assist the manager with staff recruitment, including interviews. • Provide department new hire training to Spa Reception/Attendants, and recreation guides. • Maintain all lines of communication with spa and recreation staff, managers, directors, HR, and executive committee, as necessary. • Report any observed violations by following department chain of communication. • Assist manager with all spa retail transactions and spa service supplies to maintain and replenish pars; reordering supplies; maintaining proper accounting of all items sold, comped services/products and monthly inventory. • Provide guests with information on spa services and hotel offerings as necessary. • Ensure all spa common and guest areas are organized, cleaned, replenished, and guest ready. • Update employee performance log to note attendance, behavior, and/or performance deficiencies. • Must ensure safety and housekeeping standards are met by all staff members. • Must ensure all areas of spa and recreation meet health and safety standards. • Will back up and fill in on all positions in the spa and recreation areas, except where state certification is required. • May coordinate spa activities with outside vendors / contractors. • Will update spa services and activities brochures. • Maintains guest sign-in log to ensure all visitors are accounted for and reported to loss prevention as needed and in the event of an evacuation. • Work with any 3rd party vendors for services (i.e. spa mats, equipment repair, etc.). Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $22.54/Hr. - $23.80/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
