Supervise Spa & Pool Staff, to ensure World Class guest service is delivered on a consistent basis to all guests. Preparation and anticipation of guest requests and executes 4-Diamond Service initiatives.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Motivates and leads a team; accurately books, changes and cancels Spa appointments. Actively promotes the Spa, treatments, services, retail, as well as programs, promotions, and/or discounts available.Supervises and coordinates multiple priorities with a calm demeanor while delivering five star service. Oversees training of all spa team members, including product training for Retail Sales. Coaches and develops team members to achieve expected goals by maintaining a consistent approachable demeanor and articulates department expectations.Practices, supports, and promotes MCRS, “Best of the Best” company-wide culture and demonstrating AAA Four Diamond Service Standards at all times.Provides direct service to guests as needed, including, but not limited to, outstanding service to spa guests threw greeting, guiding, and providing information and general aid to spa related circumstances to ensure the highest quality of service to spa guests.Assists Spa manager in inventory control and purchasing of all treatment and retail supplies, daily huddles, payroll, and any other duties within Spa operations.Communicates to Spa management and/or MCRS management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the Spa that require attention. Addresses guest questions and concerns professionally and courteously.Works with Spa management to develop, create and implement plans to increase overall business while maintaining AAA Four Diamond /Luxury standards.Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, fully stocked and well organized work area.Opens, closes and supervises Spa each day according to Standard Operating Procedures.Supervises lazy river, pool, deck areas and Cabanas to ensure AAA Four Diamond Service Standards at all times.Ensures guest safety in the pool area through observation and enforcement of pool area rules. Performs emergency treatment if and when called upon.Performs other job related duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Requires strong leadership and motivational skills. Will interact with various levels of staff, management, government officials, and the public. Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training team members; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations, grooming standards, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results, coaching, counseling, and disciplining team members, developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards. QualificationsMust have excellent computer and communication skills. Experience in ARTS, scheduling, ordering, and reservations. In-depth knowledge of Spa operations, pool operations and life guarding preferred. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of classified information. Ability to tactfully and diplomatically communicate with the public and staff. Must possess excellent business sense and high professional ethics.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED required. A minimum of two years of supervisory experience. Experience in the hospitality or casino industry preferred but not required.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency. Requires a Water Safety Instruction (WSI) Certification along with CPR & First Aid Certification(s).
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to read, write & speak English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to speak effectively with customers or team members of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Must have the ability to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form and have the judgment to decide which procedures apply to a variety of situations. Utilize reasoning skills with people effectively yet cordially along with the ability to apply commonsense and good judgment to a variety of situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to sit, stand or walk. The team member frequently is required to reach with arms and use hands to manipulate or feel. The team member might occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires the ability to hear and speak on the telephone and vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The duties of this position are performed in both an indoor & outdoor environment. The team member may be exposed to moderate noise and high temperatures. The casino is a smoking environment.
WORKING HOURS:
Because we are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, most positions require flexibility in scheduling and may require team members be available for evenings, weekends, holidays and special events. A typical workweek and normal work schedules may vary based on business needs and may include scheduled shifts Monday through Sunday. Position may require overtime.
