This position provides technical support expertise to space domain awareness acquisition program office and to Space Operations Command. The successful candidate will be the system expert for operational, development and planned space-based space domain awareness programs. This person will support the Space Force program office at Space Systems Command and will work with the operator and user community and other mission partners and stakeholders and serve as a subject matter expert on USSF Space Domain Awareness programs for current systems and future planning.

Additionally, this person will provide technical knowledge base for general space vehicle and ground systems to the program office; provide continuity by imparting a programmatic and technical knowledge base on the design and history of the program to the members of the program office; lead and support the creation of system documentation, system architecture, system safety, system upgrades, cyber security and system products; assist the program office in periodic review, updating, and coordinating approval of system documentation from the prime contractor or other Government stakeholders; assist the program office to oversee the prime contractor’s efforts and reports on the satellite health, safety, operations, and capabilities; assist the program office to oversee/supervise the preparations to field and transition the system; and assess analysis on adversary capabilities and impact to current and future operational programs.

Required Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI is required to be considered for this positionBachelor’s degree in a relevant program of study12+ years or more experience related to Space Domain Awareness acquisition and/or operations
 

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree in a relevant program of studySpace Control Operational Unit ExperienceAir Force Space Command (Space Operations Command predecessor) ExperienceOperational support within the Intelligence Community (e.g., the National Reconnaissance Office)

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Basic Compensation: $160,000  to $190,000

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
