Description:

KBR is seeking a Space Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) Team Member in the Vandenberg SFB, CA area. The individual will directly support the Commercial Integration Cell (CIC), which provides analysis, planning, coordination, and execution of Allies, partners and private sector activities globally in support of combatant command operations in, to and from space.  Applicants must be self-motivated, team-oriented, able to adapt to dynamic environments, and work with personnel from other organizations and companies.

Responsibilities:

Provides space operational and intelligence subject matter expertise in support of CIC training, exercises, daily operations and briefings to USG and allies, partners, and private sector.Develops and integrates technical and intelligence products and procedures for CIC. Evaluates design changes, specifications, and releases.  Provides delta training to all users and divisions.Attends coordination and planning meetings and conducts reviews of CIC Mission Essential Tasks (METS) and informs leadership of capability gaps.Coordinates with intelligence community to develop and manage intelligence products focus on commercial space operators.Research, assess, and produce all-source analytic reports regarding potential threats to current and future operation.Utilize comprehensive understanding of IMINT, OSINT, SIGNIT, MASINT and HUMINT capabilities to combine disparate data into to cogent / organized information.Conducts periodic and post event analysis to support operational requirements and develop future capabilities for the CIC.Solves complex problems for highly technical and complex operations; uses in-depth knowledge and experience to develop solutions and communicate fix actions.Ability to operate independently and manage team elements to meet contract requirements.  Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus.Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related discipline.Has in-depth knowledge of DOD, Agency, and/or industry standards in relation to space operations, intelligence community and commercial integrationImpacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad Program/ Department/Section guidelines and policies.May be the primary customer contact for assigned area of responsibility.

Qualifications: 

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related area highly desired. Associate’s degree considered. High School Diploma or equivalent required5-10 years of exercise support and space operations experienceFamiliarity with applicable DoD and IC directives, analytic tradecraft standards and reporting cyclesSoftware Experience with Microsoft Office SuiteAbility and willingness to travel (less than 10% estimate)Perform additional duties as required or identifiedMay have formal, but limited, supervision of team members at the Department level to include verification of timecards, oversight of daily tasks/schedules and input into performance appraisalsStrong written and oral communication skills to support necessary compliance activities

Desired

Bachelor or master’s degree in related discipline10 years of space operations experienceCompletion of a commercial, military, or US government all source analysis training course or a specialized intelligence career fieldExperience with DoD ground and/or space-based systems acquisition and operationSpecific knowledge of CIC systems and processes

TS/SCI

Work Environment:

Location: Colorado Springs, CO or Vandenberg, CATravel Requirements: Limited Travel (up to 10%)Working Hours: Standard 40 hours per week.

Basic Compensation:

$100-$145K

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
