Maverik’s Internship Program is designed to provide a structured learning experience, equipping interns with the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career. This internship will run from June 2025-August 2025, with a commitment of 30–40 hours per week, working onsite Des Moines Iowa office. This opportunity is available exclusively to full-time students currently enrolled at an accredited four-year college or university.
As an intern, you will play a key role in enhancing floor plans and merchandising layouts for rebranded Kum & Go locations, helping align them with Maverik’s existing store designs. Your work will improve in-store merchandising execution and streamline documentation processes at Base Camp.
Summary of Internship Project:Contributing to the rebranding of store layouts by updating counter layouts, shipper locations, CADs, and food equipment changes to ensure consistency across Maverik and Kum & Go locations.
Throughout this internship, you will achieve the following: Gain hands-on experience in space planning and merchandising execution. Learn how to update and optimize store layouts to improve merchandising efficiency. Develop an understanding of CAD software and its role in retail planning. Work cross-functionally with food teams and special projects to implement store layout updates. In this internship, you will work towards supporting the team by: Adding counter layouts for all rebranded stores and remaining Kum & Go layouts. Adding shipper locations to all Kum & Go store layouts. Reviewing and updating CAD drawings for HBA remodels. Updating food equipment layouts in rebranded and Kum & Go stores. Implementing expanded beer door layouts and removing CSD doors based on team feedback. Removing dunnage racks in OG Kum & Go CO beer caves per project guidelines. The successful candidate should possess: Experience with CAD software (required). Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks. Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines efficiently. Qualifications: A full-time college student that has completed their sophomore year by the beginning of the internship. Currently enrolled at an accredited university seeking a degree related to the position.
