Key Responsibilities:

Supports the Space Systems Command (SSC) Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power DirectorateCritical contributor and subject matter expert (SME) on ground segment architectures to include battle management operational and tactical command and control functions (BMC2)Provides technical recommendations regarding software system integration, system testing, and space vehicle/launch vehicle (SV/LV) acquisition strategiesProvides the Government with best practices on mitigating integration challenges in transitioning systems to operational useCollaborates with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external to SSC, and a team of multi-disciplined engineers and SMEs

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Engineering, Math, or related discipline with over 10 years of experienceTS/SCI with polygraph; ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility and accessesTechnical depth in battle management command and control (both operational and tactical levels)Works well and is a team player on a multi-disciplined system engineering team that provides integration test, training, and exercise strategy and approach in support of space capability deploymentsFamiliarity with end-to-end system lifecycle development, design, testing, integration, and deployment of operational systems.Ability to develop trusted relationships with Government leaders and with mission partnersDemonstrated experience in system integration, system of systems engineering (SE), agile integration approaches, horizontally scalable architectures, and operational employment of DoD systems/capabilities.Flexible systems thinker with the ability to deliver results quicklySelf-starter with effective time management skillsStrong attention to detail, exceptional organizational and communication skills, effective and clear written (and oral) communication ability, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skillsExpert in space systems acquisition processes and executionFluent knowledge of modern and cloud software design, enterprise engineering and architecture, plus system interfacesKnowledgeable in SV and LV integration and launch protocols

Desired:

Prior experience working DoD software system acquisition programsMaster’s degree with over 8 years or more of applicable experienceDemonstrated ability to adapt and flex to the execution of multiple mission sets across a diverse set of programs and tasks

Basic Compensation:

$220K - $240K

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
